Last goodbyes before leaving for our Mission.

W
We went to California to say goodbye to our kids in California. Kyle and Kayla and darling Brandon.  We had  a wonderful time, but these good-byes are terrible. We really love our family, and I guess that is one of the many reasons to serve the Lord. We have so much to be grateful for.   Here we enjoy just watching this little fellow as he enjoys all things with gusto. He's full of cuteness.

One last trip to California. Even though we missed Brandon's birthday, he was happy to open some additional presents with his grandparents.

Again, saying a very hard good-by to two special people that I will really miss. My sister, Ruth and my mom.
Here we are all together minus Kyle and Kayla, our last Sunday together. This was taken on the afternoon of our missionary farewell. These are our biggest blessings, our children, our grandchildren. Life is at its best when we can be together. As Moroni states in Alma 60:11 "Behold, could ye suppose that ye could sit upon your thrones (homes), and because of the exceeding goodness of God ye could do nothing and he would deliver you?"  We have been richly blessed, and we feel a mission is a way we can say thank you, Heavenly Father for the rich blessings we enjoy.

So much to do, at one point poor Hunter got caught in the water, while all the other grown-ups were getting a laugh, only Grandma went to his rescue. He just stood there frozen when it started to hit him right in the face. Below they all enjoyed the pony rides. Hunter was a bit ticked off when they took him off. He really enjoyed the pony rides.
