We are completing our LDS Employment Mission this Friday May 31. It has been a wonderful experience. As we prepare to leave there are several learnings that we have discovered over these past 15 months of service.
1. Dig in get involved. Miracles will occur in your abilities if you put forth the effort.
2. Wonderful relationships/friendships. We have met and come to love some of the choicest people on earth.
3. Dual blessings of service. Helping others and helping self. We thought that when we first went there to volunteer we might be able to help others in their needs. Little did we realize we would be the greatest beneficiaries.
4. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are in the details of our lives as President Monson has stated. They are interested in our temporal well-being, as they are in our success spiritually. Many people come in to the center in despair and leave with hope. Many miracles and there are no coincidences.
5. How quickly the time passes!
6. As Elder Scott has stated," There is an absolute law, as we obey the commandments and serve His children unselfishly, the natural consequence is power from God...power to do more than we can do by ourselves." We also know this to be true.
7. Our testimonies have been strengthened.
